valentines day

i'm not a fan of valentine's day. before you jump to conclusions of "oh she only hates it because she's single" you are....partially correct...but this post is not about the fact i'm single. valentines day is a day designated for love (no duh) but i feel like candy and card companies have TOTALLY commercialized the whole holiday. i mean i'm seriously considering going to work for a chocolate or flower company next february because they must make loads of money for just this one day. that leads to the next point...people feel that they HAVE to buy their significant other candy and jewelry, flowers..etc...to show how much they love them. i guess i don't know much about love...i mean i've watched disney movies...and i really love my family...and the internet....but i think that if you really love someone you should treat them the best and prove to them you love them EVERYDAY of the year..not just february the 14th. so whoever your valentine is this year....your boyfriend, girlfriend, husband, wife, mom, dad, gramm, grampa, dog, cat or laptop make sure you tell them how much you love and appreciate them everyday <3
